Devine Lie returned to the studio in early 2017 to start working on their 8th studio album, Constantly Disappointed Toleration. The new album showcases Devine Lie’s evolution and ability to continuously deliver stimulating and thought-provoking adult contemporary sound. Released on all platforms on 16th August 2019, the album features singles such as the lead single, Constantly Disappointed Toleration, the politically charged African Skies, Stay, and a cover of Jefferson Airplane’s famed, Somebody to Love. The album covers everything, including topics such as frustration, pain, fear, trauma, loss and hurt which are just as necessary in life as delight, happiness, joy, love and satisfaction and tries to balance the in-between.

Evil sun on a blackend sky
Rain gleams on the castle so high
Hopes dashed as they walk on by
Lover’s dream of Versailles
Clouds of doom Hide the moon
Intimidation fills the room
Your eyes peer through the spikey gloom
You weren’t born with no silver spoon
Whatever you want to do
It’s all up to you
Leave this world behind
Take a trip, take a ride, take the Sun
Take your mind
Take it All
Ice Lake shatters and cracks
Bees die by the axe
Rain forests shed a tear
Speeches just a veneer
Take what you see
Take all their guarantees
Take what you see
No need to disagree
Take it all
Take it now
Take it now
But Take it All
Collapsing around our ears
No answers want to appear
Seven billion way too much
World leaders so out of touch
Scorch the earth to feed mankind
Pollute the seas we’re all blind
Plastic mountains touch the sky
Where’s our voice our outcry
Whatever you want to do
It’s all up to you
Leave this world behind
Take a trip, take a ride, take the Sun
Take your mind
Take it All
